Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, supervise, and lead banquet staff in the flawless execution of events at Hotel Arts, both onsite and at offsite locations.
  • Proactive in the planning and execution of assigned events
  • Assist in scheduling and assigning banquet staff to ensure adequate event coverage.
  • Manage inventory of event equipment including linens, tableware, and beverages.
  • Ensure events are set up according to client contracts and Hotel Arts standards.
  • Oversee event operations, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate posting of event bills and collaborate with accounting on billing accuracy.
  • Solicit client feedback to continuously improve event delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health, service, and labor regulations.
  • Assist the Catering leadership team with additional business-related and administrative tasks
  • Participate in onboarding and ongoing training of all banquet staff
  • Coach and motivate team members to meet the vision of the banquet department to provide exceptional events
  • Participate in the annual strategic plan for the department, striving to improve the services and amenities offered
Job Requirements:
  • Valid ProServe Certificate required 
  • Class 5 Driver's License required
  • Experience driving transport trucks and large passenger vans an asset
  • Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement.
